The Paint Can Project
Painted Buffalo Traveling Studio is A 501(c)(3) nonprofit Veteran Artist founded and operated mobile art studio. In between adventuring around the United Sates in our converted school bus, we focus on getting veterans art supplies to tell their own stories through art. With your donation we are able to fill more ammo cans and travel more miles to bring veterans one on one art making classes, group classes, and art supplies to tell their own stories through art.

The Paint Can Project
The Paint Can Project is an initiative started with a simple idea... How do we get art supplies to veterans to tell their own stories through art and inspire the community to come together with a likeminded cause. Each ammo can is specifically filled for a Veteran as a mental health care package. Filled with Art supplies, socks, water bottles, shirt or beanie, and some other amazing products from our sponsors to help the veteran begin their journey in making and story telling.
Each can costs about $100 to fill will art supplies, and we need your help! Art supplies and diesel isn't cheap these days but we aren't scared... We are committed to continuing our mission and grow where there is a need.
Every donation is used to get to veterans, art supplies in hand, making a little differences as we adventure around the county, and eventually create a community center for veterans and nomads to come and make.
What's the next step? The Painted Buffalo is a community. We seek to share our adventures, travels, share inspiring stories through making, and grow the community in all aspects. We will continue to advocate for veteran mental health healing through holistic measures. These steps also include growing and expanding our efforts. The next step for The Painted Buffalo and our Veterans is a home base, The Makers Space, Homestead.

The MakersSpace, Homestead
The Painted Buffalo has settled her wheels into a 6 acre property nestled in the north woods of Georgia. Here on the property sits a 1200+ sqft A-Frame home that we hope to make into our dream MakersSpace homestead and Artist retreat space. There is a lot of work to do, leaves to rake, and studio space to build. Our dream is to make this space open to the public, veterans, nomads, and like minded creators to have a space to drop their pack, rest, and tell stories through making.
The Paint Can Project is dedicated to serving more veterans in all states, and having a home base will help with that mission.
The Painted Buffalo continues to be a grassroots effort. Without the incredible people who have joined our team, donated to our causes, and inspire us to continue this mission, we couldn't do it without you.
No donation is too small, just like our impact in each veterans life we meet. Thank you for your love, inspiration, and continued support.
