Painted Buffalo Traveling Studio is A 501(c)(3) nonprofit Veteran Artist founded and operated mobile art studio. In between adventuring around the United States in our converted school bus, we focus on getting veterans art supplies to tell their own stories through art. For us art supplies doesn't always mean pens and paint brushes though! Jessica, Marine Corps Veteran, likes to dip in the creative making with the Glowforge, laser engraver aboard the bus and sometimes even pulls out the Potters wheel that's stored below.  

 

Together we seek to build bridges of cultural understanding through artistic expressions for Veteran Artists. We are dedicated to building a bridge between each participants capabilities and his or her own imagination. This way we can provide a place where veterans can non-verbally speak through their art at their comfort level and feel the comfort of home at the same time.

With the use of community based art practices and Art Therapy methods Painted Buffalo Traveling Studio is dedicated to getting veterans outside, art supplies in hand telling their stories.

Between 2020 - 2021 we have had the pleasure of personally donating over 150 ammo cans for veterans in 37 states to tell their own stories through art making. Each ammo can is filled with personal art supplies catered to each veteran's desired creative outlet and products from veteran owned and veteran proud companies. Products that have been donated by companies have been hand selected by our founder to uplift each veteran and remind them that their community stands alongside them!
